“Hiyoriyama”
"Hiyori" mountain is the place to pray for victims as you look out over the "Yuriage" disaster area.
From the top of the mountain, you have a wide-range view of the “Yuriage” disaster area. The “Yuriage Minato” Shinto Shrine and “Tominushihime” Shinto Shrine, which had been washed away by the tsunami, were rebuilt at the top of the mountain. An amulet and a “Mamori-fuda” (a charm) are sold at the shines.
