Natori Symphonic Wind Orchestra
Established in 1983 by former wind orchestra club members from several junior and senior high schools in Natori City. The orchestra consists of 80 members, mainly adults, who usually play at their home concert hall, Natori Community Center. They hold regular concerts as well as play at other venues, and participate in wind orchestra competitions. They have represented the Tohoku region for ten consecutive years at the wind orchestra competition, and were awarded the gold prize at the 2004 national competition for the second time. In addition, they are planning to organize a Natori brass band concert, and teach their method of playing music to junior and senior high school students. They perform upon requests as well.
