The Natori City Earthquake Recovery Reconstruction Museum

This facility aims to pass on the memories and learning from the Great East Japan Earthquake to the world and future generations, and raise awareness of disaster prevention without letting the memories fade away. There is a diorama of Yuriage’s townscape before the earthquake and testimonies of people involved in the reconstruction process in the exhibit “Journey to Recovery,” as well as displays about natural disasters and disaster prevention. In the theater room, visitors can watch a 5-minute video about the Great East Japan Earthquake.
